Native to northern China, Japan, and Korea, the Chinese or Lacebark elm generally has a broad, vase-like shape with pendulous branches. In warmer regions, it may be evergreen. The
bark is usually smooth. It grows fairly quickly and is resistant to Dutch elm disease making it a popular choice for landscaping.
